About the event

Registration counts for both October 16th and 23rd. Participants MUST attend both dates. Risking Connection in Faith Communities is a 2-day online training designed to equip faith leaders with the tools to build trauma-responsive, healing-centered congregations. Adapted from an evidence-based curriculum originally created for clinicians, this course will transform the way leaders provide care for their members and communities.
In addition to the training, participants will also receive access to a follow-up session in the fall focused on understanding and implementing organizational change strategies—ensuring that learning moves from insight to lasting transformation.
At the end of the course, faith leaders will:
Understand the basic dynamics of both trauma and positive experiences, and how these experiences impact people's behavior, health, and well-being;
Understand the spiritual impact of trauma and the ways in which spirituality supports resilience;
